International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions and relationships between nations, as well as the analysis of political, economic, social, and cultural dynamics that influence these interactions. It encompasses the policies and practices of states, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other actors on the global stage. Key areas of focus include diplomacy, conflict resolution, international law, security studies, and the impact of globalization. IR seeks to understand how states and non-state actors operate within the international system, the theory and practice of foreign policy, and the factors that contribute to cooperation and conflict among global entities. It draws on various disciplines, including political science, history, economics, and sociology, to provide insights into global issues such as war, trade, human rights, and environmental challenges.
