Europe is a continent that lies primarily in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres. It is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and Asia to the east, with the Ural Mountains often considered the traditional boundary between Europe and Asia.
